Committed to the Community

About Us

The Bulverde Thrift Store is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. The Thrift store is a joint venture between two local non-profit organizations, Provisions (formerly the Bulverde Food Bank) and the Bulverde Senior Center dba Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center, to generate revenue.

Both organizations rely on grant donations and fundraising to support operations. Both organizations serve our local community without receiving any federal, city or government funding.

The mission of Provisions is to assist individuals and families who are struggling to meet the basic needs of day-to-day living, and to improve their quality of life.

The Bulverde Senior Center’s mission is to enhance the lives of seniors through programs involving education, exercise, social activities, health and community service in an environment that provides opportunities for seniors to remain active and self-sufficient.

These organizations are vital within our small community.

Our Story

We were established in 2013 and started in an 800sqft building in downtown Bulverde. We operated with one employee and 3 volunteers. Because of the communities’ generous support, we quickly outgrew the space. In May of 2015 we opened in our current location and now operate with one full time employee, two part time employees, and over 50 volunteers.

Every year, we have a Thriftique Fashion Show. We have several models showcase various outfits and jewelry. We also set up decorated tables to showcase décor items from the store.

We also have an event called All Dolled Up. We offer low-cost prom dresses, shoes, purses, and accessories to students in our community. We transport hundreds of dresses (over 500) to Mammen Family Public Library and set up shop for two days in early spring.
